Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to Wichita County Court Docket and its informational pages, links, and search tools. Using any part of the site means that you accept the conditions stated below. They apply to general court-record research in Wichita County, Texas, and do not create a relationship with a clerk, court, or government office. If you disagree with these terms, stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. Wichita County Court Docket is privately owned and is not affiliated with a court or government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit decisions, employment screening, tenant screening, insurance eligibility, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site exists to help readers locate Wichita County and Texas court-docket resources. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a Wichita County or Texas government service. It cannot retrieve an official file, alter a court date, submit a filing, or maintain a court docket.

The site identifies the Wichita County District Clerk, Wichita County Clerk, local trial courts, Wichita County Odyssey Portal, and re:SearchTX as routes to public information. It may also connect readers with third-party research tools.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is supplied only for general information about Wichita County dockets and record-access paths. It does not replace an official docket, signed court order, or advice from counsel. Judicial records in Texas follow court rules, including Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12, while the Texas Public Information Act governs qualifying governmental information and does not override the judiciary distinction. Confirm material facts with the clerk or trial court that holds the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

If you need a background check for any of those purposes, use an FCRA-compliant screening company.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing published here is legal advice. General explanations of Wichita County court dockets cannot show how a charge, order, deadline, or filing affects a particular matter. Seek advice from a licensed Texas attorney.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Dockets change constantly - cases are filed, hearings are set, settings get reset, and matters are sealed, dismissed, or amended. We try to keep up, but gaps are unavoidable. Nothing on this site should be treated as an official statement from a court or clerk. Always verify a docket entry or court date with the court that holds the case before you rely on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

We link to clerk of court sites, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Wichita County Court Docket or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, modifying, or building upon that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site - including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any legal dispute arising from use of this site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.
